Treats is a one of a kind ice cream shop where you can currently see some equally unique and delicious one of a kind artwork!

This little treats shop is a pretty big deal! Pop in this fall for some new autumn flavor combinations, well balanced classics and an old timey yet hip atmosphere. All art included in this exhibition is for sale. All proceeds go to NCA Artists and our studio budget.

Mark your calendars for

the 29th Annual Open Studios

Open Studios – Nevada County West is The Center for the Arts’ largest annual visual arts program which serves on average 200+ artists, in both urban and rural studios, with an estimated 5,000 attendees every year. This self-guided tour extends throughout western Nevada County every second and third weekend of October. Mark NCA studios on your map to visit Nevada County’s most diverse collection of textiles including hand woven rugs, plus a wide variety of ceramic, wood and wire sculpture, canvas and paper paintings, jewelry, collectibles, wearables and more.

This two weekend showcase greatly aids NCA’s fundraising efforts to reach our 5K goal for this quarter. Your attendance and support helps to secure our future and ensure that our neurodiverse community has an opportunity to meet and be seen by local and visiting creative commerce supporters.

Open studios is a glowing opportunity to get to know our community from an inside and visitor’s perspective, so make sure you note these dates in your fall schedule.

Ongoing Shows

COVID-19 forced us to close our doors, but it has not stopped us from following through with our mission. NCA adapted to this year’s challenges by creating an online network of instructor to peer social, educational and artistic contact. Through this channel we also take requests for art supplies and make contact-free deliveries to ensure all our artists have the supplies they need to keep making art. Creativity helps many cope with the troubling times we face. Creating art presents a different way for people to communicate and understand the world. For some of our artists, creativity is their strength and their voice. Creativity is life changing. We need your help to secure that no one should have to give that up.
